Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your engagement of Sax Lasky, the professional performing name of Dan Lasky Schlesinger (“Artist”, “we”, “us”), for live saxophone entertainment services. By submitting a booking inquiry and paying a deposit, you (“Client”) agree to these Terms in full. Bookings are managed by Mar Alvarez on behalf of Sax Lasky.

2. Services

Sax Lasky provides live saxophone entertainment for weddings, private events, and select corporate celebrations. Available packages include:

  • Dance Floor Set — 1 hour, 3 interventions (MX$7,500)
  • Puerto Vallarta Set — 45 minutes (MX$6,500)
  • Punta de Mita Set — 45 minutes (MX$7,500)
  • Private Villa Set — 45 minutes (MX$7,500)
  • Double Sax Set — All Mexico, travel included (MX$30,000)
  • Customized 12-Song Set (MX$15,000)
  • Add-On: Personalized Song Arrangement — MX$1,500 per song, 60-day advance notice required

Final service scope is confirmed in writing at the time of booking. Sax Lasky reserves the right to decline any booking inquiry at its sole discretion.

3. Booking Process

All bookings begin with a formal inquiry via the website contact form, email, or WhatsApp. Dates are not held without a paid deposit. Upon receipt of deposit and written booking confirmation, your event date is officially reserved.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in Mexican Pesos (MXN) and are subject to change until a booking is confirmed in writing. Travel fees may apply for events outside Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco — these will be disclosed prior to confirmation. All payments must be made in accordance with the schedule outlined in your booking confirmation.

5. Deposit & Balance

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date. The deposit amount will be specified in your booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due no later than the date specified in your agreement. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.

6. Cancellation by Client

Cancellations must be communicated in writing (email or WhatsApp). The deposit is non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing. For cancellations made within 60 days of the event date, the full contracted amount may be due. Specific cancellation terms will be confirmed in your booking agreement.

7. Cancellation or Substitution by Artist

Sax Lasky reserves the right to arrange a professional substitute artist of equivalent caliber in the event of illness, injury, or circumstances beyond our control, subject to Client approval. In the event of an Artist-initiated cancellation where no substitute is available, all fees paid (including the deposit) will be refunded in full. This refund constitutes the limit of Sax Lasky’s liability in such circumstances.

8. Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made in writing and are subject to availability. Additional fees may apply if the rescheduled date requires different travel, logistics, or preparation.

9. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or venue closures. Both parties will work in good faith to reschedule at a mutually agreeable date.

10. Client Obligations

  • Provide adequate, safe performance space at the venue;
  • Ensure timely access for setup and sound check;
  • Coordinate with the venue regarding sound system requirements;
  • Notify Sax Lasky of any schedule changes at least 48 hours in advance;
  • Share all relevant vendor information with Sax Lasky prior to the event.

11. Artist Obligations

  • Arrive at the agreed time and perform the confirmed service;
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance throughout the event;
  • Perform the agreed repertoire to the best of the Artist’s ability;
  • Communicate proactively with the Client’s booking contact or event planner.

12. Intellectual Property

All musical arrangements and performance materials created by Sax Lasky remain the intellectual property of Dan Lasky Schlesinger. The Client may photograph and video-record the performance for personal and social media use. Commercial use of recordings requires prior written consent.

13. Limitation of Liability

Sax Lasky’s total liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client for that booking. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, including the Código Civil Federal and applicable state legislation of Jalisco. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then by the competent courts of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México.
